Change of Plans

No, we aren’t canceling the wedding!  But there’s been a shift for us concerning our move to the land.  It has been an interesting journey to say the least.  We had thought originally that we would be moving in this month to our new home.  However, it appears God has other plans. 

We know that He is sovereignly in charge and has a good plan through it all.  There were the weeks of hashing out the blueprint plans and it is a good thing we did as there were some issues that needed to be resolved, but the frustration when a single question took a week to get answered.  Then the HOA changed companies they processed things through, so it required gathering different information and navigating a website that didn’t include options for a new build and more weeks of delay as that was worked out.  Then we needed a sewer permit and after all the information was gathered, notarized, sent by certified mail to arrive in time for the City Council meeting, it was delivered a day late, not hand delivered, but left on a fence outside so it missed the meeting where they changed the requirements, necessitating a whole new round of documents, again delaying. 

When we finally thought things were straightened out and ready to move forward, they put a 90-day ban on any more building in the development due to road erosion from recent flooding.  This is going into litigation so there may be even further delays.  At this point, we are at least 6 months out from being able to move onto the property. 

Years ago when I first left the Seventh-Day Adventist church, I became aware of the need for some deliverance (I was not yet conscious of my SRA journey or had the understanding I do today about deliverance).  I felt like God highlighted a date on a calendar.  I didn’t see the month, but assumed it must be the upcoming month. I worked really hard to schedule it with the deliverance team for that date, but nothing worked out and I was disappointed and kind of gave up on it.  The following month, at the last minute, without my having to do anything, a deliverance session came up and only afterwards did I realize it was the date I saw circled on the calendar.  We receive revelation from the Lord but then at times misinterpret the application.  I had felt like our wedding and move to the land represented a “crossing over” but it seems God has other plans for His timing.  And so once again, I’m learning it is all about trusting True FAMILY, knowing we are sovereignly in Their care always and that They work all things together for good.  Already we are seeing reasons for the delay and preparations that are needed both internally and externally so that we walk in the triumph of Their love.  The property is located near some major occult intersections and ley lines and more work is needed spiritually so that we build on a solid foundation in every way.  Thank you for praying with us for the perfect timing for our transition!
