It's Here!

It is hard to believe Our wedding is this Saturday, Oct 4th, 2025!  I can’t express fully the amazing joy and gratitude I have to God for bringing Ken into my life.  I don’t know any other man who would walk with me through my survivor journey as Ken has.  I did not know there were men who could be as sensitive, gentle and caring in the midst of very difficult things.  I know it is the power of God’s love shining through him.

I am overall a very private person.  I would like to keep my life buried in a cave, hidden, especially the painful parts.  However, I know that the glory of God’s restoration is in being open about what He is doing.  Because of this, I’ve chosen to share vulnerably my journey with our community.  While this is a beautiful, joyful time, it has also been the fight for my life in getting free from the cult system and even cutting ties with cult members whom I deeply love.  This is what is often hard for people on the outside to understand.  Why would it be hard to cut ties with people who tortured, programmed and abused you? 

If the cult system was only about abuse, it would be much easier for people to leave it.  But in especially the international groups, the use of attachment bonds are used to manipulate and keep control while threatening the lives of those we love.  Breaking free is excruciating and the grief very deep. 

So while this is a time of celebration, it is also a challenging time and I am so very grateful for your prayers, love and encouragement.  My hope and desire is for our wedding and our lives together to demonstrate the triumph of God’s love over the devastation of the enemy.  I pray it brings hope to those on the journey to know there can be restoration.
